Brick Wall Badge in 2K26

What does Brick Wall Badge do in NBA 2K26?

video-transcript:
What is good everybody and welcome back to the NBA 2K Lab, the channel where we put badges through rigorous testing so you can lock in the perfect threshold for your My Player build. In this video, we'll be breaking down brick wall. And for this badge, we ran five separate tests attempting over 10,000 total screens to give you the most detailed brick wall guide for NBA 2K26. And if you enjoy this kind of data-driven content, all we ask is that you hit that like button as it helps support the entire team. Now, let's get right into it. First things first, let's take a look at weight in relation to effective screens. This chart shows three different players ranging from 250 to 350 lbs. And the results are kind of surprising. As you can see, each stacked row looks nearly identical, which tells us that weight does not directly affect your ability to set screens. Different weights may unlock different body types, but we'll get into that later in the video. Another surprising thing that came up in testing was the difference in 83 strength versus 99 strength, while both have legend brick wall. As you can see from the results, an 83 strength versus a 99 strength in the same scenario show only minor differences, which actually highlight the importance of using a max plus one or two on this badge if you want to set better screens. In the clips in this video, my 71 center has an 83 strength and I'm using a max plus two to bump it to Hall of Fame, which had me setting some solid screens. The next thing we're going to look at is height in relation to setting effective screens. And this variable definitely played a huge factor in our result. Looking at the chart, you can see that taller players will generally set better screens regardless of outside variables. And stronger holding screens see a linear boost up until 7 ft, where they start to get slightly better for every height thereafter. But while being taller will help you set better screens, you'll still want to find a good balance of height, speed, and strength to be effective on the court. For our fourth brick wall test, we wanted to briefly take a look at body types to see if they helped. So, we picked three different body types. And surprisingly enough, the bigger body types actually provide a solid boost. With the same exact attributes for each body type tested, Burley showed nearly a 5% boost in stronger holding screens when compared to the ripped body type and nearly an 8% boost when compared to the thin body type. And this tells us that body types absolutely have an effect on setting more effective screens. Now, for our fifth and final test, we pitted every badge against each other, and here's the result. Bronze doesn't really give you anything crazy and is only a slight step up from no badge. Silver shows decent effectiveness, but only saw about one strong screen out of every five attempts. But using a max plus one to bump this badge from silver to gold showed a good boost, but still only one out of every four screen attempts were strong screens. As we get to the Hall of Fame level, we saw strong screens on roughly one out of every three attempts. The Hall of Fame level looks to be the sweet spot for the most effective screens in this scenario. The legend level provided a solid jump, but we can see some diminishing returns, and it may not be worth the investment in the grand scheme of things. Now, of course, you want to take all of those factors into account when making a build. But overall, you should be targeting at least silver brick wall when making a big man build. And if you're in the P&R frequently, targeting the gold level and using a max plus one or two to hall of fame or legend levels can yield significant results without overspending on this badge. But that is all we have for the brick wall badge test. If you guys found this video helpful, don't forget to drop a like, comment, subscribe, all that good stuff.
