Improves the effectiveness of well-timed contests against perimeter shooters

Hall of Fame Challenger is worth targeting if you guard ball often.
All other guard
Silver+
Don't love Tier 3 bronze badges and this badges is mostly tier 3 for perimeter defenders. Its worth pushing it past bronze if you can.
Bigs
Bronze+
For a tier 1 badge its not a badge option. You are likely to contest on the perimeter on a switch or when defending a high screen.
Challenger - 2k23 Test Details

To test challenger we set up a script to take contested shots in the open-20% contest range using a rubber band on the right stick of the defensive controller to keep it pointed straight up. We did this at every badge level to figure out how much the Challenger Badge helps.

Challenger - 2k23 Test Results

The results show contest percentages not changing but the effectiveness of those contests being much more impactful. Hall of Fame challenger is definitely worth targeting.

Badge Unlock Table Details

This table shows how many attribute points you need in order to unlock a badge at the level in the header. If a badge is a Tier 1 badge you do not need any attributes in order to unlock the badge at a bronze level. If its Tier 2 or 3, you will need to meet the attribute threshold to unlock the badge. If there is more than one attribute listed, you only need to meet the threshold on one of the attributes, not multiple.
