Float Game Badge Details

The Float Game badge may be the most under-utilized badge in NBA 2K26. We found that floaters have pure green window. If you are not using floaters, you might be leaving points on the table. Float Game requires either close shot or layup attributes, but the close shot rating reaches higher badge levels sooner than the layup rating. Each of these attributes are the only determining factors when it comes to the green window size. The higher the close shot and layup, the bigger the green window.

NBA2k26 Finishing Badges

Float Game

Improves a player's ability to make floaters.
Players who wish to score with floaters.
Gold+
Get at least Gold since it is the sweet spot for value and effectiveness. You could use a Max +1 or +2 to get to HoF or Legend for significant boosts.
Float Game Test Details

To test Float Game we took wide open floaters and lightly contested floaters. The player had an 85 Layup and Close Shot. We measured the size of the green window at every badge level and then without the badge.

Float Game Test Results

Float Game Green Window Size for Wide Open Floaters (Tested on HoF Difficulty):

  • Legend = 189 MS
  • HoF = 149 MS
  • Gold = 144 MS
  • Silver = 139 MS
  • Bronze = 134 MS
  • None = 128 MS

On wide open floaters, the green window has a fairly linear increase up until Legend, which shows insane results and essentially doubles the forgiveness window when compared to no badge. Although Legend has insane results, wide open floaters will probably go in regardless.

Float Game Green Window Size for Lightly Contested Floaters (Tested on HoF Difficulty):

  • Legend = 69 MS
  • HoF = 59 MS
  • Gold = 49 MS
  • Silver = 45 MS
  • Bronze = 42 MS
  • None = 39 MS

There is a gradual increase of around 8% to 26% from Bronze to Gold, which shows modest improvements with each tier. HoF provides a 51% boost. At Legend there is a 77% increase compared to no badge. Since we tested with an 85 Layup and Close Shot, this is essentially what you can expect from the Legend level if you use your Max +1 or Max +2.
