Anchor - 2k23

Anchor - 2k23 Badge Description

Anchor increases a player's ability to block shots and protect the rim at a high level
Ball Handlers
Silver or Bronze Anchor
Being a ball handler in 2K23 makes it very difficult to have a solid block rating depending on how you make your build. If you do have access to Anchor we recommend you use it. Anchor makes a huge difference in make percentages around the rim and is worth running.
Locks
Gold or Silver Anchor
If you are a primary lockdown Anchor should be in your badge loadout. It is important as a lockdown to have the ability to hold your own in the paint. If you are a big lock 6'8-6'9 you should try and incorporate Gold Anchor. If you are 6'7 and below aim for Silver Anchor.
Bigs
HOF Anchor
HOF Anchor is a must have badge for all defensive focused big men. It will make you a defensive presence in the paint.
Anchor - 2k23 Test Details

We tested Anchor's contest percentage against standing layups. The offensive player had a 85 close shot and each defender had various levels of Anchor. We recorded each standing layups contest percentage and if the offensive player made the shot. We took the average of all the contest to show how effective each level of Anchor is.

Anchor - 2k23 Test Results

The average contest does not vary as much. The biggest takeaway from this test is make percentage. Anchor now acts as intimidator for any shots attempted near the paint. In our test HOF anchor makes it extremely difficult to finish anywhere near the paint. The chart shows the average contest for standing layups and the average make percentage for each Anchor level.

Badge Unlock Table Details

This table shows how many attribute points you need in order to unlock a badge at the level in the header. If a badge is a Tier 1 badge you do not need any attributes in order to unlock the badge at a bronze level. If its Tier 2 or 3, you will need to meet the attribute threshold to unlock the badge. If there is more than one attribute listed, you only need to meet the threshold on one of the attributes, not multiple.
