NBA 2K27 Best Speed and Agility Rating

How We Test Speed & Agility

We have automated the process of recording and comparing the relevant speed and agility ratings in the game. For these we are incrementing both speed and agility and recording the outcome.

For this test, the build is 6'4", 180 lbs with a 6'7" wingspan, using the Gary Harris motion style. Speed and Agility are raised together one point at a time from 60 to 99.

Jogging is running without holding Turbo and Sprinting is running while holding Turbo.

  • Speed - How fast does the player move at top speed in Miles Per Hour. Higher is better.
  • Launch - How many seconds does it take to move 2.5 feet? Lower is better.
  • Time to Running - How many seconds does it take to get to full speed? Lower is better.
  • Run Full Width of Court - How many seconds does it take to run the width of the court? Lower is better.

The charts display Median values by default. You can switch to Average values using the toggle above the charts.

Rating Breakpoints

Value per point is not flat. From the median testing above, these are the bands where points buy the most and the least:

  • 60 to 70 - Steady gains: about +0.8 MPH jogging and +0.7 MPH sprinting across the band.
  • 70 to 76 - Solid gains continue: about +0.7 MPH jogging and +0.6 MPH sprinting. Rating 75 tested far above this trend, but it is the outlier flagged under the charts.
  • 76 to 83 - The dead zone. Jog speed is nearly flat (+0.2 MPH over seven points) and sprint speed adds only about 0.4 MPH.
  • 83 to 85 - The best value in the range. Jog speed jumps about 1 MPH (roughly 9%) in just two points and jog full-court time drops sharply, while sprint speed barely changes.
  • 85 to 99 - Diminishing returns. Fourteen more points buy about +0.5 MPH jogging and +0.6 MPH sprinting, spread thinly.

If you are choosing where to cap Speed and Agility, 85 was the strongest stopping point in our testing, with 76 the next best below it. Points parked between 76 and 83 returned the least.

Average Running Speed

Miles per hour at top speed. Higher is better.

Trend: Jog and sprint speed both climb steadily with rating, from about 9.9 to 13.1 MPH jogging and 12.2 to 14.5 MPH sprinting (median).

Outliers: Rating 75 tested well above its neighbors on both series, and its sprint speed beat every rating up to 91.

NBA 2K27

Time to Launch

Seconds to move the first 2.5 feet. Lower is better.

Trend: Launch times fall gradually as the rating rises, from about 0.87s to 0.68s jogging and 0.80s to 0.66s sprinting (median).

Outliers: This measurement is noisy run to run. Rating 68 jogged an unusually slow 0.91s, while 75's sprint launch was again quicker than its neighbors.

NBA 2K27

Time to Run

Seconds to reach full speed. Lower is better.

Trend: The noisiest of the four measurements. The fitted trends are nearly flat, with jog and sprint converging around 0.9s at the high ratings.

Outliers: Sprint times at ratings 63 and 66 tested well above the rest, at over 1.1 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do speed and agility work in NBA 2K27?

Speed controls your top movement speed, while Agility controls acceleration and how quickly you change direction. The graphs above show the tested in-game values at every rating from 60 to 99.

How much faster is 99 speed than 60 speed in NBA 2K27?

On our 6'4" test build, median sprint speed rises from about 12.2 MPH at 60 Speed and Agility to about 14.5 MPH at 99, and a full-court sprint drops from about 3.4 seconds to about 2.8 seconds.

How much speed does each attribute point give in NBA 2K27?

On our test build, each point of Speed and Agility adds about 0.8% to jog speed and about 0.5% to sprint speed on average (median values, 60 to 99). The gain is not evenly spread: the single step from 74 to 75 was worth about 6% of sprint speed in our testing, while sprint speed barely moved from 76 to 83. Across the full range, full-court times improve by about 23% jogging and 18% sprinting.

What is a good speed and agility rating for a guard?

Guards usually want high speed and agility, often in the mid-80s or higher, to beat defenders off the dribble. Use the tested values above to see what each rating actually gives you.
