Lightning Launch is useful if your play style requires it. The percentages may seem small, but when it comes to blowing by a defender during one-on-one situations, a little separation goes a long way. Also, it is important to note that your dribble style animation plays a huge factor in your speed boost.

Bronze

Bronze is enough and you can pick up the Giannis Dribble Style.

Lightning Launch Test Details

To test this badge we measured the initial burst, including the first four bounces of the basketball and counted the frames between each bounce of the ball. Then we calculated the median within the bounces and turned it into a percentage to see how big of a boost each badge level provided compared to no badge. We tested with a consistent 86 Speed with Ball and only changed the badge levels.

Lightning Launch Test Resultaten

Compared to no badge:

Legend (94 Speed with Ball) will provide a 14% increase.
HoF (91 Speed with Ball) will provide a 9% increase.
Gold (86 Speed with Ball) will provide an 8% increase.
Silver (75 Speed with Ball) will provide a 5% increase.
Bronze (68 Speed with Ball) will provide a 4% increase.

The jump from Silver to Gold as well as HoF to Legend is solid. However, the jump from Gold to HoF is minimal.
