Bail Out Badge in 2K26

What does Bail Out Badge do in NBA 2K26?

video-transcript:
What is good everyone and welcome to the NBA 2K Lab channel. In this video, we'll be taking a look at the bailout badge and the boost you receive at each level. This is going to be a very quick video loaded with good information. So, like, comment, and subscribe for more tests like these. And let's get right into it. The bailout definition says passing out of a jump shot or layup yields fewer errant passes than normal. Additionally, helps passing out of double teams. And you can see the pass accuracy requirement for each badge level on the bottom right. For this test, we attempted 200 bailout passes at each badge level with an 85 pass accuracy and then recorded every catch and then we categorized it into clean catches and fumble catches. And here's the result. You can see the fumble catches in orange and the clean catches in green and then the total catch percentage for each badge level at the top. Bronze bailout looks to be twice as good as no badge by nearly doubling the total catch percentage, but still sits around 45%. While the clean catch rate with bronze only sits at about 23%, which still makes for some risky passes. As we get to the silver level, the clean catch rate jumps to 30% with a total catch percentage of almost 54%. And with silver bailout, you should be able to throw some decent bailout passes, but it's still not guaranteed. Gold bailout seems to be the sweet spot if you're looking to throw effective bailout passes, as the total catch rate jumps to 65% with a clean catch rate of 44%. Now, keep in mind, this particular test was done at an 85 pass accuracy for all badge levels. So, this chart gives a good idea of how effective a max plus one or two can be when applied to your bailout badge. Hall of Fame and legend levels provide 54 and 65% clean catches, respectively, with a total catch rate of 70% plus for each. And if your play style involves throwing bailout passes, targeting the silver or gold level and using a badge perk to boost it might be ideal. Now, we also ran the same test, but instead of at 85 pass accuracy, we tested at each badge unlock requirement. and the boost for having the higher pass accuracy were noticeable at higher badge levels, but still didn't seem to justify the cost of having a 94 plus. Overall, the bailout badge isn't meant to be a crutch mechanic, and it seems like 2K doesn't want a ton of these passes flying around. But if you do want to bail out of jump shots, you'll need to invest heavily into pass accuracy to be effective. But even still, using a max plus two from bronze to gold can definitely help your bailout passes if necessary. Now, that is all we have for this badge test. And if you found this video helpful, don't forget to drop a like. Thank you all for watching. It's been Spill and I'm out later.
