To test Post Fade Phenom, we ran three tests.
Test 1: Avg Make % Per Badge Level
We took 200 shots very 10 millisecond of the green window at each badge level. The shooter had 84 Post Control and 90 Mid Range.
Test 2: Avg Make % Legend Post Fade Phenom (84 Post Control + 90 Midrange vs 25 Post Control + 90 Midrange)
We tested Legend Post Fade Phenom, one shooter had 84 Post and 90 Mid Range and the other had 25 Post Control and 90 Midrange. We took 200 shots very 10 millisecond of the green window.
Test 3: Avg Make % Legend Post Fade Phenom (84 Post Control + 80 Midrange vs 84 Post Control + 90 Midrange)
We tested Legend Post Fade Phenom, one shooter had 84 Post and 80 Mid Range and the other had 84 Post Control and 90 Midrange. We took 200 shots very 10 millisecond of the green window.
Post Fade Phenom test-results
Test 1: Avg Make % Per Badge Level
- Legend = 82%
- HoF = 80%
- Gold = 75%
- Siver = 73%
- Bronze = 70%
- None = 64%
The Bronze level is cheap and provides a decent boost from no badge. The Gold and Silver levels don't provide the best value. However, HoF is the next valuable threshold and it is the level that most players who want to be elite post faders would target. Going higher than HoF might not be worth it for most players. Your attributes and Max +1 and Max +2 can be spent elsewhere.
Test 2: Avg Make % Legend Post Fade Phenom (84 Post Control + 90 Midrange vs 25 Post Control + 90 Midrange):
- 84 Post Control + 90 Midrange = 82%
- 25 Post Control + 90 Midrange = 81%
The results are very similar in regards to post fading. Post Control does not have much of an impact.
Test 3: Avg Make % Legend Post Fade Phenom (84 Post Control + 80 Midrange vs 84 Post Control + 90 Midrange)
- 84 Post Control + 80 Midrange = 82%
- 84 Post Control + 90 Midrange = 75%
There is a much greater difference in Make % when comparing 80 and 90 Midrange. Your Mid Range is going to be key for higher field goal percentages when post fading. It is much more important here than Post Control. High Mid Range builds with lower Post Control may still be really solid post-fading builds. However, if you want to be elite, you'll most likely still want to have at least HoF Post Fade Phenom.
