2K26 Layup Meter Green Windows on Float Game video

Float Game Badge in 2K26

What does Float Game Badge do in NBA 2K26?

video-transcript:
The float game badge may be the most criminally underutilized badge in NBA 2K26. And with 2K26 allowing more play styles to be viable, that means layups are back just like they were in 2K 24. And I feel like the general public isn't even aware yet. But after testing floaters, we found out that these types of layups have a pure green window, making them extremely effective. I'll even go as far as saying that if you're not using floaters, you might be leaving points on the table. So, of course, we had to test it to see exactly what happens at higher badge levels. But before we do, don't forget to subscribe for more NBA 2K26 content. And let's get right into it. First, let's talk about which attributes can help floaters. Now, this badge requires either close shot or layup, with close shot reaching higher badge levels sooner than the layup rating. But each of these attributes are the only determining factors when it comes to the green window size, excluding outside factors like contest and things of that nature. And the more you have of each close shot and layup, the bigger the window will be. We also tested mid-range to see if it had an effect on floaters, and it did not. But one more thing to note is that we also tested with and without the meter and found no difference. And that may be due to the fact that the window is already very large. Now to test this badge, we took wide openen floaters and then we measured the size of the green window at every badge level and then without the badge. And here's what we found. On wide openen floaters, the green window has a fairly linear increase up until the legend level, which shows insane results and essentially doubles the forgiveness window when compared to no badge. But while Legend has insane results, wide openen floaters will probably go in regardless. So, let's take a look at what happens with a light contest. From bronze to gold, the increase is gradual, ranging from about 8 to 26%, reflecting modest improvements with each tier. Hall of Fame provides a 51% boost to your green window, marking a notable step up in forgiveness. As we get to the legend level, it adds a 77% increase, which is 30 milliseconds over the base green window size, making it highly effective under light contest. And since we tested with an 85 layup and close shot, this is essentially what you can expect from the legend level if you use your max plus one or max plus two. All in all, I can just tell you guys that you should definitely try to include floaters into your arsenal because they are very effective. But that is all we have for the float game badge test results. Let me know in the comments if you guys are using this badge and if you are, what your experience is with it. Now, thank you all for watching. It's Ben Spill and I'm out later.
