What is good everyone and welcome back to the NBA 2K Lab channel. In this video, we're going to be taking a look at the dead eyee badge in NBA 2K26 and the boost you receive at each level. And with a sample size of over 31,000 shots to get our results, a simple like on the video goes a long way to help support the team and the channel. And without further ado, let's get right into it. With the most recent patch buffing contest, Dead Eye inherently becomes even more valuable. Essentially, this badge is going to help mitigate contests, which in turn increases your green window and your make percentage. Now, this badge isn't going to lower the contest percentage, but it will lower the effectiveness of said contest. And this was confirmed as we gathered data from our initial contest video. This is similar to how challenger works as well. Now, to test this badge, we took 200 dead eyee shots for every 5 milliseconds throughout the green window. The offensive player had a 92 three-point rating and the defender had an 85 perimeter defense rating. For our first test, we looked at dead eyee versus open contest. Bronze and silver provide marginal results of two and three and a half% on average throughout the green window. But as we get to gold, we can start to see a noticeable boost of about 5.4%. While also increasing the green window size by about 4 milliseconds when compared to no badge. Gold provides a solid balance of value and effectiveness. But elite and aggressive shooters should look to target the hall of fame or legend levels with an average make percentage boost of 6.6 and 8% respectively. Now, with over 30,000 shots of data, we can also provide an estimated green window size as I spoke about in which the formula takes into account the boost at each badge level along with micro timing changes to give us more realistic and accurate results. Hall of Fame has an estimated green window of almost double that of no badge, while Legend has an estimated green window of double the size of bronze at 16 milliseconds. Now, even if you use a max plus one or max plus two to get there, these higher badge levels can provide elite results. After testing open shots, we decided to look at lightly contested shots from anywhere around 20 to 30%. And while the make percentages were of course lower due to the better contest, the boost for each badge level stayed about the same and even got better at higher badge levels, hinting that the badge may work harder depending on the badge level and the severity of the contest. A wide openen shot in the same exact scenario sees a pure green window size of 20 milliseconds. And here you can see how each level of dead eyee can impact that number. This chart represents the green window size versus lightly contested shots. And again, as we get to the gold level and beyond, the green window starts to get much wider. Now, overall, bronze isn't quite worth targeting, and silver would only be nice to have, but gold looks to be the sweet spot when trying to get your money's worth out of this badge. If you do get to gold, however, using a max plus one or two to reach hall of fame or legend levels could provide significant results. Now, that is all we have for the Dead Eye badge boost. And if this video helped you, don't forget to drop a like. Thank you all for watching. It's been Spill, and I'm out. Later.
